AS/NZS 5601.1 Gas installations – Part 1: General installations
Provides a means of complying with the Gas (Safety and Measurement) Regulations 2010 and NZ Building Code clause G11 Gas as an energy source. This Standard sets out requirements and means of conformance for the design, installation and commissioning of LPG gas installations.
AS/NZS 1596 The storage and handling of LP Gas
Specifies requirements for the location, design, construction, commissioning and operation of installations for the storage and handling of LP Gas. It includes the management of emergencies, and provides designers, planners, operators and regulators with technical and procedural requirements for installations for the safe storage and handling of LP Gas.
IANZ Accredited
Tank Test Laboratories is an IANZ accredited test laboratory and has conformed to NZS/ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 standards since 1986. New Zealand’s Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) contribute to and support IANZ’s stringent processes which include annual reassessment of accreditation.
IANZ accredited cylinder testing laboratories are NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) approved.
All Tank Test periodic testers are EPA approved and approved IANZ signatories. Team members are highly qualified with over 40 years combined technical knowledge and expertise.
Tank Test Laboratories is a member of the Cylinder Testing Laboratory Association (CTLA) and NZ Heavy Engineering Association HERA.
Matagas contributes to key industry bodies including GasNZ. In January 2023, members of the Gas Association of NZ (GANZ) and the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (LPGA) merged into GASNZ. Matagas is a member of the GASNZ Technical Committee
